Thank you for your interest in the Laurel Police Department. The Laurel Police Department is a member of the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MTLETC). The Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium administers a written test and physical fitness test in order to create a pool of candidates for the position of entry-level peace officer with our department.
Candidates who successfully pass the MTLETC written test and physical fitness test will be placed on a candidate eligibility list for 18 months. Once an opening occurs within the Laurel Police Department, we will contact those on the eligibility list to provide instructions on the hiring process. You cannot apply with the Laurel Police Department unless you are on the MTLETC candidate eligibility list.
For more information on the testing process, refer to the links below. Contact us at 406-628-8737 if you have any questions about joining our team of professionals.
